We are the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ (PHJC) \u2013 Kenyan Region<\/strong>, a congregation of women religious inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first Handmaid of the Lord, and by Saint Katharina Kasper<\/strong>, our foundress, whose life of humble service continues to inspire our mission today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As missionaries of God’s compassionate love, we are committed to serving the poor, the marginalized, and those most in need, especially women, children, the sick, the elderly, and vulnerable communities. Through our ministries in healthcare, education, pastoral work, social services, and community development, we strive to promote human dignity, justice, and hope across Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kenyan Region continues to grow in faith and service, responding to the needs of the Church and society through collaboration with our sisters, lay partners, and all people of goodwill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
